Front Porch Podcast #026: Let's Renew Our Vows

FPP #026: Let's Renew Our Vows. Ways to get the show: subscribe via iTunes, subscribe to my feed or

download the mp3 file

Main items:

The podcast is back. You can look forward to more regular postings.

I also want to hear your vows. Send in your audio to me, and let's have several vows ready for me to share on the next episode.

Finally, I'd love for Adam Curry (the Pod Father referenced in the vows) to bless our commitment ceremony. Tell him about this show. Something like: "Baratunde Thurston is a podcaster in Boston who realized he had a major problem with podfade. He returned from Podcamp NYC determined to make amends with his listeners and held a commitment ceremony in episode 26. He seeks the blessing of you, the Pod Father." And give him my site or something. Be cool and savvy like you guys are. Use your own words. Surprise me.

Audio (preferred) or text feedback to frontporchpodcast@gmail.com, online at baratunde.com/blog, or voicemail at +1-254-247-3228. Or you can comment on this blog post.

Audio recording via my crappy Plantronics headset because I couldn't get the expensive M-Audio Firewire 410 to pick up the left audio channel, and processing courtesy of Garageband. Tagging done by iTunes.

Intro theme music is "Diplo Rhythm" by Diplo, who graciously gave me permission to use the track as my theme song. Grab the track on iTunes.

Hosting provided by Syndicus Media. Thanks yall!

your show and blog marks the bright spot in an otherwise dreary day here at the work site. glad to hear you sound fired up and all that. the social contract session was perhaps the best note to end on @ podcamp nyc - vergel was fantastic.

goodcrimethink can definitely work in terms of a "brand." goes right along with being a vigilante pundit. definitely something to consider. beyond that, prior to hearing the show, i read the "worst night as a standup comic" post. thank you for being so open with your readers regarding that incident. richard pryor talked about everything - we as black people should be able to laugh about subjects covering a broad range. the typical audience sells itself short on a regular basis - very unfortunate. it couldn't have been easy to share that, so again...thank you.
