People can say what they want, but hope matters. The joy and optimism around Barack Obama, it's real. It's incredible to see people care this much. And that's what will make his presidency a huge success. His ability to bring out enthusiasm, evcitement and genuine optimism in people. No amount of experience can can trump that.
"I love to see our people". Quotes like this have kept Black American's out of the Oval Office in the past.
I just happen to be a "White" American. I am going to vote for Obama, not because of color, history, heritage or his white grandmother, but what I believe he stands for.
If the Black Community would stop touting race issues, then more of the Black politicians would get into office. Jesse Jackson is a racist and Dr. King would have been repulsed if he could see jesse now.
I believe that i speak for millions of American when i say that race is not an issue, but the black community and media makes it a race issue.
Clinton is not worth spitting on and I would rather take a hot knife in the eye over McCain, whom I think will continue the facist dictatorship that the Bush Ladin/ Sadam HuCheney admin has run while in office.
There will always be a limited amount of racist idiots, but most are not racist. If you want to be part of America, then act like it and stop pulling the "race" card. Stop making comments like the quote I started this post with from your above comment.
It turns all other races away from YOUR hint of racism.
The reason America is in the shape it is in is because the politicians and media have Americans sepertaed on issues. We The People need to get on the same page because at the rate the U.S. is going, we will all be in poverty at bread lines. All hungry, all broke, and then i bet your race comments will not matter.
When I went through Katrina, race was not an issue anywhere but in the media. Black, White,Yellow, did not matter, rich, poor ect... People had to pull togather to make it, and 99% of the people did pull togather. All race aside, we were all the same and all working to survive.
A Country Divided Can Not Stand. Stop letting the Elite divide us. Wake up America , before there is no America to wake up to.
