Twilight #NewMoon Live Hate-Tweeting
Monday, November 23, 2009 at 14:33
I hate Twilight. A lot. I read the first two books via unabridged audio on a road-trip one year ago with my then-wife. I'm not saying Twilight killed my marriage. I am saying that I was married. Then I read half the Twilight series. Now I'm no longer married. I trust you to come to your own conclusions based on the available evidence.
And while I feel that the craptastic collection of bound words underservedly referred to as "writing" within the Twilight series is nothing less than a cultural assault, my recovery from Twilight exposure was significantly aided by reading this incredible critique of the series by a former Mormon. Armed with the knowledge that I was not alone and seeking to help others similarly endowed with taste process this phenomenon, I watched New Moon during opening weekend in New York City, and I live-tweeted my experience, but in this case, I called it live hate-tweeting.
The response was incredibly positive, and I've reassembled the Twitter stream and added a few versions and some other enhancements like screenshots from the movie itself. Below you will find a YouTube version of the tweets and a Flickr slideshow version. If the response is significant enough, I may add other versions and even more content, so stay tuned. And spread the word.
Together, united, we can fight this scourge. God bless you all.

You can go straight to the album on flickr. The slideshow below will autoplay. See something you really like? Click on it, and you'll go to a standalone page which has a link to the original post on twitter where you can retweet it. Bam!

I've set the slides to auto-forward and added an audio track. Spread it. Embed it. Here's the direct link.
