Onion Web Intern
The Onion, America's Finest News Source, is seeking a Web Intern who will help maintain The Onion's dominance over the Internet. Their duties may include tagging items in our Content Management System, manipulating images, preparing audio & video files, managing our social media presence and assisting with web-related research. Technical familiarity with web standards such as HTML and CSS is required. Candidates should be experienced in Adobe Photoshop at a minimum. Fluency in emerging web trends such as microblogging, social networking and other buzzwords is highly valuable. Candidate should already be aware of and use Facebook, Twitter, FriendFeed, etc. Love of Google Docs will make this all less painful. Ability to build on APIs and feeds would earn our utmost respect. Familiarity with the Onion brand is always a plus.
The Web Intern will work with the Web Editor and Web Producer of The Onion and has the opportunity to learn from and contribute meaningfully The Onion's mission.
